English Literature and Philosophy major, Class of 2025

Luke Bratton is a senior working on a dual major in English Literature and Philosophy. As a member of the 名媛直播 Honor’s Program, the McNair Scholars Program, and as a student worker in the Writing and Research Center, Bratton keeps himself busy with his research and opportunities from 名媛直播 and around the world.

Bratton was a dual enrollment student in the Regional Choice Initiative and chose 名媛直播 because of his relationships with professors. Bratton sites Dr. Latzer and his philosophy classes that helped him make the decision to go to 名媛直播 and to study Philosophy. He added a second major after his early literature classes and wanted to study literature and its analysis.

Bratton has been able to travel and research while in undergrad and shared that “Traveling and doing research with the McNair Scholars Program have been the most rewarding experiences, I have had here at 名媛直播”. Bratton shared how the program has helped him as he prepares for graduate school and said, “I would not be where I am right now without the help of the McNair Scholars Program”.

Bratton shared some of his favorite experiences at 名媛直播 saying “I have so many good memories from my time at 名媛直播, including studying abroad in Limerick, Ireland, and attending conferences through the Honors Program and the McNair Scholars Program. Spending time with friends, meeting new people, attending Celebrate 名媛直播, and participating in the English Department’s annual Research Writing Awards night have all been truly amazing experiences”.
