October Fact Friday at the Gannon University MakerSpace

Each month, we will highlight a fact regarding one of our MakerSpace projects, events, or initiatives as well as exciting things in the world of general engineering and manufacturing!

Collaborating with Gannon University's Ruskin Campus, the MakerSpace welcomed Dr. Karen Dishman, an assistant professor in Occupational Therapy. Inspired by the potential of 3D printing in assistive technology, Dr. Dishman explored its applications specifically for occupational therapy at the Ruskin Campus. She traveled to Erie’s MakerSpace to gain more in-depth experience with 3D printing technology and to explore other emerging technologies, with the goal of understanding future expansion opportunities. Dr. Dishman is working closely with Nick Devine, Design and Fabrication Engineer, who is excited to collaborate on this project. Together, they aim to establish a MakerSpace at the Ruskin Campus that will integrate health sciences with engineering. Stay tuned for exciting developments as 名媛直播’s Ruskin Campus embraces this innovative approach!
